Final-year students from the Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety study programs visited the Tarkett factory in Bačka Palanka on June 18, 2026.
During the visit, company representatives introduced the students to Tarkett’s development and business operations, its global presence, and its role in the flooring industry. Particular attention was given to the principles of sustainable business, responsible management of environmental impacts, as well as occupational health and safety measures.
During the tour of the production facilities, the students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into individual stages of the production process, work organisation, and specific measures implemented in the areas of environmental protection and employee safety.
The visit also provided an opportunity to speak with company experts, during which the students asked questions, exchanged views, and connected the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies with examples from industrial practice.
Professional study visits are an important part of the education of future engineers, as they enable students to gain a better understanding of real working processes, professional challenges, and modern approaches to environmental management and occupational health and safety.
