Within the DAAD project Democratia – Aqua – Technica VII: WatHer (Empowering Women in Environmental Engineering), implemented by the Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety in cooperation with SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg, Germany, funding is available for a study visit to the University in Heidelberg (https://www.srh-hochschule-heidelberg.de/en/) and to the IFAT trade fair (Solutions for Water, Recycling and Circularity) in Munich (https://ifat.de/en/) for five third-year students of the Environmental Engineering study program, from April 28 to May 7, 2026.
For our students, this represents an excellent opportunity, as IFAT is a global hub for innovation and future-oriented solutions, bringing together cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions, and leading professionals who are shaping the future of industry and environmental protection.
The planned activities during the visit include intensive professional workshops and case studies, lectures in the field of waste treatment and processing engineering, field visits, and participation in the IFAT trade fair. These activities will provide students with opportunities for practical learning and professional networking. A detailed program will subsequently be published on https://democratia-aqua.org and https://www.izzs.uns.ac.rs/.
Funding provided through the Project covers travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs. Travel expenses will be reimbursed to the students upon arrival in Heidelberg by the Democratia – Aqua – Technica Project.
To apply, students are required to submit the following documents by February 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM to majaturk@uns.ac.rs:
- A motivation letter, and
- Current grade point average and number of exams passed.
For any additional information, students may contact the FTN Project Coordinator, Prof. Maja Turk Sekulić, PhD, via email at majaturk@uns.ac.rs.
