As part of the course Preventive Measures in Occupational Health and Safety, Prof. Ivana Mihajlović, PhD, and Asst. Prof. Bojana Zoraja, PhD, hosted representatives of the University Clinical Centre of Serbia from Belgrade. Maja Milošević, an occupational medicine specialist and the person responsible for ionising radiation, and Dušan Milinković, Graduate Engineer in Occupational Safety and Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department, delivered a professional lecture to students on December 15, 2025.
During the lecture, students had the opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of occupational medicine, occupational health and safety management, and the safe management of medical waste in healthcare institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, the application of relevant legislation and standards, and examples of good practice from real working environments.
The lecture was held in an interactive atmosphere, with active student participation and an exchange of experiences with professionals from the field. Events of this kind strengthen the connection between the academic community and professional practice and represent an important step towards improving the quality of teaching and the professional competencies of future engineers.
