Master’s students in Environmental Engineering, accompanied by Prof. Zoran Čepić, PhD, had the opportunity to visit the Jug heating plant, one of the four major production facilities operated by the Public Utility Company “Novosadska Toplana”.
During the visit, the students learned about the production capacities of the Jug heating plant, the processes of heat and electricity generation, as well as the environmental impacts associated with the operation of the facility.
Given that all four major heating plants are located in densely populated areas of Novi Sad, environmental protection and air quality are among the key priorities in the operations of PUC “Novosadska Toplana”. In this context, the students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into an example of good practice in environmental impact management.
